BEHIND THE BRAND

Think barmy summer evenings, beaches, sun-kissed skin, friends, gatherings, and looking your best without even trying.
That’s what Boho Beach is about. Being able to spend a day lazing around in your favourite place, and then popping on a Boho creation (over your cozzie) to head out to lunch – or sundowners on the beach - and look fabulous. And the best thing? They hide all the bits we don’t want on show.
Boho Beach Co offers a mix of locally produced and imported dresses, pyjamas, lounge shorts, beach dresses and kaftans. All fabrics are imported from India, are 100% cotton, with bold prints and bright colours.
Only limited quantities are produced so you are unlikely to experience that awkward ‘twinsie’ moment.
I hope you love my range as I’ve loved creating it. Happy shopping!

Where it all began
We all wish we could create the perfect job for ourselves.
After 24 years in the public relations field, and several more as a consultant, I decided to create my own perfect position. Be my own boss. Do what I love. Love what I do. Wear what I like.
I started my first business in 2015 with a friend, and had so much fun in the process. This business is still going strong. But in 2020, during Covid, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and my whole world became a little bit different. After this diagnosis and all the fear that goes with it, I decided that it was time to challenge myself more, not be defined by this disease, and do something completely different.
And so Boho Beach Co was born. I have always loved clothing, and have admired women from afar who just have the knack of putting it all together, or have the perfect dress that I never seem to find in store or online.

When I suggested to my husband that maybe I should learn to sew so that I could make what I love, he gave me a look and eye roll that said: ‘absolutely not, I know you too well’. He really does.
And so I started to research online to find out who could help make my dream a reality. A recent trip to India was also mind-blowing in terms of inspiration for fabrics, patterns and styles.
What a thrill to learn something new ‘at my age’ So, what started out as an idea to exhibit at a few Christmas markets and make some extra money for December, has now become a full-time gig. Yay!
